Research & Planning
Before development, I conducted research on mountain communities to determine how best to structure the content for an engaging user experience. I created a site map and wireframe to visualize the layout, ensuring intuitive navigation. The interactive map and slideshow were chosen as key features to present geographic and cultural information in an accessible and visually appealing way.

Development &
Iteration
Using semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I built the site while adhering to W3C standards for accessibility and best coding practices. I implemented an interactive map to allow users to explore different mountain regions dynamically and developed a working slideshow to highlight specific communities. Through multiple iterations, I refined the design, optimized performance, and improved responsiveness to enhance the user experience.
Reflections
This project reinforced the importance of balancing functionality with usability. Future improvements could include adding search and filter options for the map, integrating video content for a more immersive experience, and further optimizing performance for faster load times. Overall, this process deepened my understanding of structuring interactive educational content while maintaining accessibility and efficiency.
